Our BOX awning is a shading system with a closed aluminium frame that can be manufactured in widths of up to 6 metres and with an adjustable angle of inclination. The retractable canvas is made of an impregnated fabric, which does not become soaked thanks to its water-repellent properties. It can be a suitable choice for terraces of private homes, offices, cafes, restaurants. The structure can be installed on ceilings or wall planes, in metal, wood and concrete alike. As the name suggests, with the BOX awning, the canvas is shielded when closed while maintaining a sleek, discreet look.
The awning provides shade, filters out harmful UV rays and protects against unpleasant soaking caused by sudden downpours, but should not be used in the event of prolonged heavy rainfall.
The shading system can be ordered with manual control, but can also be motorised if required. In the case of motorised operation, one can opt for a standard switch, a remote control or even voice control. With SOMFY's Tahoma® smart home system, the product can even become an integral part of your home, controlled through SOMFY's own mobile phone app. The motorised awning will open in sunlight thanks to a light sensor and close automatically in the event of rain and wind owing to a wind and rain sensor.
Our BOX awnings are manufactured on ZSOZO's own professional production line, with industrial sewing machines, under the supervision of qualified production personnel. The raw material for the frame is provided by GAVIOTA from Spain, while the fabric is sourced from various Italian suppliers.
